Bhubaneswar: Four young DySPs (Deputy superintendent of police) and four more platoons of police have been deputed to Ganjam district for the management of COVID-19 situation.
“With increase in positive COVID cases in Ganjam, Odisha Police has enhanced its presence. Four young DySP and four more platoons of force have been deputed to Ganjam Dist .All have already reported for duty today”, Odisha DGP Abhay informed through his Twitter handle.
Earlier today, the State Government has appointed two IAS and six OAS officers to help the Ganjam administration in the COVID-19 management works.
Ganjam has emerged as a major COVID-19 hotspot in Odisha registering 2066 cases of the State’s 8601 cases.
