Bhubaneswar: Senior leader from Kendrapada and former Congress MLA Ganeswar Behera has joined the Biju Janata Dal. He along with his thousands of supporters joined the ruling party at a program held at the Sankha Bhawan. Ganeswar had resigned from the Congress a few days back. Ganeswar’s BJD joining will further strengthen the party in Kendrapada.
He was elected as an MLA from Pattamundai Assembly Constituency in 1985 and 1995. Earlier today senior leader and Odisha BJP vice-president Lekhasri Samantsinghar had also resigned from the primary membership of the party and joined the BJD.
