Berhampur: A total of 1895 kg of seized ganja was destroyed in Odisha’s Ganjam district last night, the Berhampur Police said on Thursday.
A High Level Drug Disposal Committee headed by IG (Southern Range) Satyabrata Bhoi had destroyed the contraband seized by the Digapahandi police station.
Other members of Committee including Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M, SP STF KK Panigrahi, Excise Superintendent, Assistant Collector Subashree Rath were present during the destruction of ganja.
So far the Berhampur police have destroyed 4103 kg ganja. This has freed the Malkhana space of the respective police stations, the Berhampur SP said.
