Berhampur/Bhubaneswar: Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian today interacted with various stakeholders on the second phase of High School Transformation programme in Ganjam district.
The High School Transformation programme is a dream project of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik that envisages to give a complete facelift to the state-run high schools with modern facilities, such as world-class interactive and smart classrooms, e-library-cum reading rooms and modern science laboratories.
Apart from safe and pure drinking water and clean toilets in schools, the project also envisages better playgrounds for children complete with sports facilities.
Another 233 high schools in Ganjam district will undergo massive transformation in the second phase of the transformation programme.
5T Secretary VK Pandian on Friday interacted with the students, head masters, SMC chairpersons, sarpanches and other stakeholders of 130 high schools from different blocks including Rangailunda, Sanakhemundi, Bellaguntha, Digapahandi, Bhanjanagara, Purushottampur, Kukudakhandi, Aska, Khallikote and Dharakote on the High School Transformation programme through virtual mode.
The 5T Secretary will hold similar discussions with the stakeholders from another 10 blocks of the district, informed Ganjam PD DRDA Shinde Dattatraya Bhausaheb.
The transformation work at these schools will be completed by February 2022, according to the Ganjam district administration.
Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated 50 transformed high schools in Hinjilicut and Sheragada blocks.
