Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will launch the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme in Ganjam and Subarnapur districts today. As part of this, the Chief Minister will launch 5706 projects worth Rs 252 crore in Ganjam district. The program will be implemented in all the 22 blocks of Ganjam. Likewise, Rs 54 crore will be spent for 1419 developmental projects of Subarnapur district.
The Government of Odisha will spend Rs 3,397 crore in 6,794 gram panchayats across the State on various developmental projects. Each panchayat will get Rs 50 lakh under the scheme. Under the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme, the Jagannath culture will be preserved in villages. All temples and religious places will be developed. Efforts were being made to improve digital infrastructure in each village which will lead to setting up of a science park, work hub and banking facilities. Primary schools will also be included in this programme.
