Berhampur: The second phase of COVID-19 vaccination programme has commenced in Ganjam today.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange and SP Brijesh Brijesh Kumar Rai took vaccine this morning.
The vaccination program will cover Covid frontline warriors including personnel from the Police, Revenue, Disaster Management, Housing and urban Development departments.
Taking to Twitter, the Ganjam Collector said, “It’s safe and all registered staff will be vaccinated as per plan”.
As announced by the State Health and Family Welfare Department, the process will be completed in three weeks.
Earlier , the State Government has urged all senior officers including the DGP, District Collectors, SPs and other senior officers to take the COVID-19 shots to instill confidence among the front line warriors and send a message that the vaccine is safe and has no side effects.
