Ganjam Collector Urges People Participating Rath Yatra to Wear Masks

Berhampur: Ganjam Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida has urged the people taking part in the Rath Yatra to wear masks and follow social distancing norms.

As Rath Yatra is going to be held with the participation of devotees at various places in Ganjam district this year, the district administration has held a meeting presided over by the Collector to discuss various measures to ensure smooth conduct the festival.

Parida has appealed the people to wear masks and obey social distancing norms while taking part in the Rath Yatra
He also said that those who are suffering from symptoms such as cold, cough and fever, should avoid participating in the festival.

Even though, the COVID-19 situation in Ganjam district is under control, the people should take the necessary precautionary measures and follow the COVID-19 guidelines, Parida insisted.

The meeting was attended by Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai, Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M, ADM Priyaranjan Prusty, Chatrapur Sub-Collector Prasanna Kumar Patra and other officials.
