Berhampur: The employees of Ganjam District administration today donated Rs 30 lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the ongoing relief and restoration work in the cyclone Fani-affected areas in Odisha.
The
district administration has also sent five truckloads of relief
materials for the Fani victims, informed Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.
The administration has already sent two truckloads of water bottle to Fani-ravaged Puri District earlier today.
As
the Odisha Government has mounted a massive relief and restoration work
across 16,074 villages in 155 blocks that faced wrath of the
devastating cyclonic storm, the Ganjam district is extending all
possible supports to the government’s in its mission to restore normalcy
in the State, an official said.
The Ganjam Collector also appealed people to contribute generously to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to rebuild the State.
“It’s
my request to all my friends to contribute generously to CMRF of the
Odisha state to rebuild the situation again. It’s time to come forward.
Time to join hands…I’ll not call it as help.. it’s our duty towards
our family members as a INDIAN”, Kulange said in a message.
