Berhampur: The Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday arrested a revenue official in Ganjam district for allegedly taking bribe for processing file for issuance of patta in favor of a person.
The official has been identified as Sanjaya Kumar Sethy who is working as Senior Revenue Asst. (Nazar) at Kodala Tahasil.
Sethy was apprehended by the vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 6000 from a complaint for processing file for issuance of RoR(Patta) in his favor.
In this connection, a case has been registered at Berhampur Vigilance PS. The investigation in the matter is in progress, the Vigilance said.
