Chatrapur: As schools reopened for the children after the gap of more than two years, the Samagra Shiksha Ganjam has come up with a unique initiative to encourage parents and community members to send their children back to school.
A captivating campaign ‘Back to School’ has been launched across the district from April 2 to create awareness among parents to send their children to school. The campaign will continue till April 8.
As part of the campaign trail, ICT-enabled Shiksha Sachetanata Ratha has been rolled out in all 22 blocks and Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) area in the Ganjam district.
The Shiksha Sachetanata Ratha will travel across the blocks in the morning and evening to sensitize the parents about the importance of education for their children.
With thematic songs like Aame Sishu and School Jibu and posters prepared by the students and teachers in coordination with DEO-cum DPC Binita Senapati, Dr.Saroj Mohan Palo, SC/ST,CM Coordinator, and BEOs, the campaign aims to make an emotional appeal to the parents.
The teachers will visit door to door to counsel the parents of out of school children identified through household survey for age appropriate admission in school.
They encourage the parents to enroll their children in schools.
The Sachetanata Ratha gives special focus on covering interior, inaccessible and difficult pockets in the district where the enrollment of students are considerably poor.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange has lauded the initiative of Samagra Shiksha Ganjam and urged them to work hard to make it successful.
