Chatrapur: A seven-day complete shutdown has been enforced in two villages in Chatrapur block of Odisha’s Ganjam district to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Exercising the power of Collector, Chikalakhandi Sarpanch D.Laxmi Reddy imposed seven-day complete shutdown in Balakrushnapur from June 27 to July 2 after seven persons reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
Similarly, Sarpanch of Podapadara GP Pitambar Panda issued shutdown order for Humor village to prevent the spread of the virus.
No public shall be allowed to move into the villages and the inhabitants within the villages shall not move out. The people in both the villages shall strictly remain in their homes, the Sarpanches said.
