Berhampur: The students of government schools in Ganjam district today prepared thematic scrapbooks to celebrate the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (AKAM) to commemorate the 75 years of Independence of the country.
As instructed by the School and Mass Education Department, the students from all 22 blocks of the district have made 2200 scrapbooks with the brief description of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Freedom Fighters of Odisha.
More than 2400 students have participated in the block level programmes.
A district level programme was also held at the V.V.Giri Govt Secondary Training School for Women in Berhampur where 200 scrapbooks have been prepared by the students.
