Berhampur: Udhra Sarapancha in Ganjam’s Bellaguntha Block died due to COVID-19 on Tuesday.
The deceased Sarapancha has been identified as Tukuna Samal.
He passed away at Tata COVID-19 Hospital here while undergoing treatment.
He was initially admitted at COVID Hospital in Bhanjanagar some 15 days ago after he was infected by the virus. Later he was shifted to Tata COVID Hospital as his oxygen level decreased.
He passed away this morning.
Meanwhile, the locals in Udhra grieved the death of the Sarapancha. He was very popular in Bellaguntha Block for his social work.
