Good News For Nature Lovers: Night Safari Begins In Chandaka-Dampara Wildlife Sanctuary

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Forest Department has started Night Safari at the Chandaka-Dampara Wildlife Sanctuary in the outskirts of capital Bhubaneswar. Nature enthusiasts can enjoy the Safari till 9.00 PM everyday. On the first day of inauguration, students from various schools of Bhubaneswar were taken into the Safari in twelve special vehicles through the Bharatpur Section.

Speaking to media on the occasion of the inaugurations of the facility, PCCF Susanta Nada said that, the Department has started the Jungle night Safari on a experimental basis and people can experience the jungle night till 9 pm. For this, the Department has started booking visitors in three time-slots between 6.00 PM and 8.00 PM every day. Booking for the first slot will be done at 6.00 PM, followed by the second and third slots at 7.00 PM and 8.00 PM, respectively. The Chandaka-Damapara Wildlife Sanctuary is home to many species of mammals and birds including elephants, deer, wild boar etc.
