Good Samaritan Chai Wala Donates 18K To Odisha CMRF Saved From Allowance He Got As a Volunteer For Covid-19 Clinical Trials

Bhubaneswar: A good samaritan Chai Wala from Bhubaneswar today donated Rs 18,350 to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Part of the money was saved from the allowance he got as a volunteer for the Clinical Trials of Covid-19 Vaccine in Odisha.

Sibashankar Jena sells tea for his livelihood and helping the needy is his pastime.

He saved Rs 6750 from the allowance money he got to commute to hospitals during the clinical trials and added his two months savings from his tea stall to make it Rs 18 thousand and gave it to the CMRF.

Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra received the donation and congratulated Sibashankar for the philanthropic act.
