Good Traffic Management Ensures Hassel-Free Movement of Devotees for Suna Besha

Puri: Sea of devotees on Thursday thronged to the pilgrim city of Puri to witness the Suna Besha (golden attire) of Lord Jagannath and His Divine Siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra atop their respective chariots.

The deities are adorned with different types gold ornaments like gold diadems, Shree Hasta (gold hands), Shree Payara (gold feet), Shree Mukuta (gold crown), Shree Chulapati (headband), etc.

The Suna Besha darshan timing has been extended by an hour, till 12 am considering the massive gathering of devotees.

In order to ensure hassle-free movement of devotees, the traffic team led by State Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur, is working 24×7 for smooth and regulated flow of traffic to the pilgrim city.

The team in proper coordination with Puri Police, district administration and Information & Public Relations Department has made elaborate arrangements, so that the devotees coming from different parts of the country and abroad will take home with memorable experiences from Puri.

Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur is closely monitoring the traffic situation. He is constantly coordinating through drone visual for traffic management.

Since the real time traffic information is crucial for the devotees, the I&PR Department under the guidance of Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, has been playing a vital role in this direction.

The Department is sharing traffic information from time to time to the keep the people updated for the smooth movement.

The devotees coming to Puri have highly appreciated the elaborate traffic arrangements.
