Govt Deputes Two Senior Officials To Supervise Surveillance and Containment In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: In view of the reporting of new cases of Coronavirus from Ganjam district in the last two days, the Odisha Government has deputed two senior officials to supervise the situation. The government has deputed Director Family Welfare Department Dr Bijay Kumar Panigrahi and RMRC Scientist Dr Jaysingh Khatri to the district. They will supervise the efforts of the government on surveillance and containment measures in the district.

In addition, Dean and Principal, MKCG Medical College has been order to constitute Rapid Response Team consisting of experts from various departments of the Medical College.

Of late, Ganjam district has recorded four cases of Coronavirus and all have returned from Surat. As more and more number of migrants are coming back to the District, both the State Government and District administration are taking no chances and efforts are being made to enhance the surveillance and quarantine measures.
