Bhubaneswar: India’s leading private sector lender HDFC Bank has joined hands with Mission Shakti to support woman SHGs in Odisha.
Taking a great step to support in lending for women empowerment in the State, HDFC Bank has funded 3 Pickle Units in the districts of Ganjam, Dhenkanal and Mayurbhanj run by members of Mission Shakti SHGs.
In a virtual event, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik appreciated all good work of SHGs and cheered them for their successful venture of setting up of the pickle unit and appreciated HDFC Bank efforts to support the pickel units.
On the occasion, Sujata Kartikeyan, Commisioner cum Secretary, Mission Shakti Department, encouraged and highlighted good works of all SHGs.
In this virtual function, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, Dhenkanal Collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera and Mayurbhanj Collector Vineet Bhardwaj along with Municipal Commissioner of Berhampur, PD DRDA of Baripada and PD DRDA Dhenkanal with other Senior officials of district and Mission Shakti were present in the handing over ceremony. Cluster Head of HDFC Bank Ansuman Das, Debendranath Jena and Debabrat Nayak handed over the cheque and sanction letter to all Collectors in the virtual event.
Deepak Kumar Singh, Senior Vice President and State Head ,Odisha HDFC Bank mentioned , Bank will facilitate progress through partnering with SHGs of Mission Shakti in Odisha and our Bank has always focus on Women Empowerment across all States and Union Territories in India and on the importance of partnering with Mission Shakti SHGs with HDFC bank in future to strengthen the woman led community initiatives and enterprenuering development for emerging economy of Odisha.
