Healthcare Services Affected at SCB as House Surgeons Go on Strike

Cuttack: The healthcare services have been adversely affected at SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) as the house surgeons went on strike following their face-off with the nursing staffs.
As per the reports, over 250 house surgeons have gone an indefinite strike alleging that members of the nursing staff misbehaved with them and refused to cooperate during work.

The agitating house surgeons have sought public apology from nursing staff for making ‘false’ allegations against them. They have demanded that a proper standard operating procedure (SOP) regarding work in the hospital. They have also submitted a memorandum to the SCB Superintendent seeking action against the concerned nursing officer for misbehaving with doctors.
On the other hand, the members of the nursing staff also protested in front of the office of the SCB Superintendent bringing similar allegations against the house surgeons.
