Heat Wave Conditions To Prevail At Many Districts of Odisha For Next Five Days

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that Heat Wave condition is very likely to occur at one or two places over five districts of Cuttack, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak and Jajpur today. The condition is also likely to continue in various other districts of Odisha for the next four to five days.

According to the Met Department Hot and Humid discomfort weather conditions and Heat wave likely over districts of Odisha due to prevailing mainly Northwesterly/Westerly dry air and high solar insolation. The day temperature is very likely to rise by 4°C to 6°C at many places over the districts of Odisha. Consequently maximum temperature (Day Temperature) likely to be more than 40°C at many places over the districts of Odisha and likely to be above normal by 3 to 5°C over some districts of Odisha during next 4 to 5 days. Capital city Bhubaneswar recorded 32.6 degrees Celsius by 8.30 hours today morning. Ten cities recorded temperatures of more than 30 degrees by morning 8.30 AM today.
