Berhampur: In a breakthrough, the Berhampur Police in Odisha’s Ganjam district busted a notorious inter-state dacoity gang and arrested nine gang members.
The Gosaninuagaon police in the city busted the dacoity gang and seized 32 stolen mobile phones, a firearm and other sharp-edged weapons from their possession.
As per the police, eight of the gang members are from Jharkhand while another one is a resident of Balianta in Khordha district.
Acting on tip-off, the cops conducted a raid late last night and arrested the accused while they were preparing to commit a dacoity in the area.
The accused are being further interrogated to nab other members of the gang, police added.
