ଯାଜପୁରର ପୂର୍ବତନ ସାଂସଦ ତଥା ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ରାଜନେତା ଅନାଦି ଚରଣ ଦାସଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ଜନପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଭାବେ ତାଙ୍କ କଲ୍ୟାଣକାରୀ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସର୍ବଦା ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ ରହିବ। ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାର ସଦସ୍ୟଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି।

Das was elected five times from the Jajpur Lok Sabha constituency. He was elected to Lok Sabha in 1971, 1980, 1984, on Congress ticket and in 1989 and 1991 on Janata Dal ticket from Jajpur seat, as per reports.
Das was suffering from diabetes and was admitted to the hospital a few days back.
Several political leaders condoled the demise of Das.
