Bhubaneswar: The doubling time for Covid-19 infections in the state is on a downward trend. The rate of growth in the number of infections has also marginally reduced and slowed down informed Odisha Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra. However, the fall in the number of cases cannot be taken lightly as a declining trend he said speaking to media persons today. Odisha has more than 75 thousand positive cases, but the number of hospitalizations is very low and stands at about 1200 in the state. There is no pressure on the health infrastructure. He also said that, like the second wave, the number of cases is more from Khordha and Sundargarh. He said, the OmiSure kits procured by the state government will be distributed to all districts as per the requirement by the state Medical Corporation.

He has once again advised all to isolate themselves and go for Covid tests if they have symptoms of cold, and cough and do not take any medicines without the advice of the Doctors.
