Berhampur: The induction training program for the newly elected Sarpanches of Hinjilicut and Sheragada blocks in Ganjam district has concluded smoothly today.

The training program was organized by the District Administration at the District Panchayat Resource Center, Chatrapur.

On the last day of the Training program today, Brijesh Kumar Rai, SP Ganjam, interacted with the Sarpanches and made them aware about the various Law and Order related guidelines.

The Training Program will help the newly election PRI Members to better serve the people of their area, the Ganjam admin said.

The five-day induction training programme of PRI (Panchayatai Raj Institution) members on implementation of various flagship schemes was inaugurated by Ganjam Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida along with Zilla Parishad President Anjali Swain and Zilla Parishad CDO-cum-EO Keerthi Vasan V on July 4.

Last month, a state level orientation programme was held for the newly elected 1,06,352 PRI members comprising ward members, sarpanch, samiti members, block chairpersons, zilla parishad members and chairpersons of all 6,749 gram Panchayats.

Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik advised the PRI members to consider peoples’ problem as their own and solve them with sincerity.
