Baripada is the second hottest place with 40 degree Celsius, according to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre.
As many as 11 places have recorded 39 degree Celsius or above. The places are Bhubaneswar (39.7 degree), Chandabali (39.7 degree), Angul (39.7 degree), Sambalpur (39.7 degree), Boudh (39.5 degree), Malkangiri (39.5 degree), Titilagarh (39 degree), Sonepur (39.2 degree), Cuttack (39.1 degree), Sundargarh (39 degree) and Jagatsinghpur (39 degree).
