Bhubaneswar: With the reduction in arrival of stranded people to the State by road, the Odisha Government is considering to minimize the border check point operations across the State.

The Special Relief Commissioner wrote to the Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Dept. & Transport Commissioner about the decision.

“Following the reduction in the arrival of stranded people to Odisha by road, the Border Check Point Operations are to be scaled down and the only following six BCPs shall operate at a scale to be decided by Transport Commissioner. The remaining gates shall operate normally, as in pre-COVID-19 days, ” the letter said.

However, the Government will continue to carry on the border check point operations at places such as Girisola (Ganjam), Jamsola (Mayurbhanj), Kerada (Rayagada), Laxman Nath (Balasore), Luharchati ( Bargarh) and Motu (Malkanagiri).
