Cuttack: Advocate Savitri Ratho will be new judge of the Orissa High Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium on Wednesday recommended her name for elevation as Judge of the Orissa HC.
According to a statement issued by the apex court collegium, Savitri Ratho’s name was approved in a meeting held on January 22.
“The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held January 22 after taking into consideration the material on record, has approved the proposal for elevation of Ms. Savitri Ratho, Advocate as Judge of the Orissa High Court,” reads the statement.
At present, Ratho has been posted by the State Government as an additional government advocate. With this new appointment, Savitri Ratho would become the third woman Judge of Orissa High Court.
