Bhubaneswar: Odisha today is set out on an ambitious mission of transformation that aims to establish a people centric governance model which is at the core of the welfare state. The State’s transformation is being propelled by the pioneering 5T Initiatives as envisaged by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Ever since the introduction of the 5T Initiatives, Odisha has been slowly transforming itself in every sphere that will make the lives of its citizens happier. And the man behind all these and who is giving a shape to the transformation process in Odisha is none other than V K Pandian – Secretary 5T Initiatives. His relentless efforts to turn the ambitions into reality are today bearing fruits.
Be it the transformation of the healthcare system or the development of the religious and tourist places, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s confidant, V K Pandian is leaving no stone unturned to take the state to the next level of development. The next big transformation that is going to have a great impact on the society for the generations to come is taking place in the education sector of Odisha. The High School Transformation Program intends to make the High Schools of Odisha into state of the art learning centers having all the modern facilities.
Transformation cannot be possible overnight. It needs efforts. It needs selfless hard work. V K Pandian, who has been closely associated with Odisha’s transformation process, embodies in himself the spirit of transformation. We have seen him visiting the health facilities in every nook and corner of the state. We have seen him making early morning visits to various project sites to review the progress. We have also seen him reaching out to the common man. The results are in front of us. The dedicated efforts in transforming the healthcare sector of the state have helped it to fight successfully against the Covid-19 pandemic. His sincere attachment with all the transformation process associated with Puri has started giving results. Puri is becoming a World Heritage City.
More than three and half crore people of the state will get Smart Health Cards under the Biju Swasthya Kalyana Yojana. It is also a part of the same transformation process that aims to provide free and universal healthcare. The person in attention, 5T Secretary V K Pandian is now on a visit to Ganjam district to oversee the High Schools Transformation Process. Without looking for the time, he visited the schools till 10 pm and interacted with various stakeholders. This shows how earnest he is in his ambitions for the transformation of the State.
On 29th July 2019, when V K Pandian was appointed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as the Secretary, 5T Initiatives, www.newsroomodisha.com had said that “CM’s Private Secretary to Lead Odisha’s Transformation”. It has become a reality today. He has led the state in its glorious efforts of transformation that have already started giving dividends.
He is finer than fiction and better than any dream. He is that rare breed of civil servant who brings an intensity, an intelligence and a precision to the act of transformation. He provides an endless depth to the understanding of any project. He crafts his moments so imaginatively that it steals the attention of the people of Odisha instantly. Faithfully realizing the dreams of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in his characteristic inimitable silence and sincerity that pain becomes a deep source of power.
