Bhubaneswar: BJD Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sasmit Patra has come down heavily on Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan after the Centre denied Special Category Status for Odisha.
“Dharmendra Pradhan Bhai, where is Special Category for Odisha? You mentioned it in your Party Manifesto while holding it up on April 5th, 2014. Before election you promised, after election you forgot”, the BJD MP said.
“You promised Kendu leaf GST withdrawal before Padampur by-poll but after elections forgot. You promised Railways for Padampur before Bijepur by-poll in 2018 and Padampur by-poll in 2022, but after elections you forgot”, Patra wrote on a Twitter post.
“You promised doubling the price of Paddy Procurement before 2014 and 2019 elections but after elections forgot. Whether its Kendrapada rail connection or coastal highway, many more such promises were made by you before elections only to forgotten after elections”, the BJD MP said targeting the Union Minister.
“So our Hon’ble leader just prayed to Lord Nrusinhanath in Bargarh today to refresh your memory. It’s a good prayer for the benefit of people of Odisha. There’s no need to get agitated when truth is told and a Prayer is made to remind you about your forgotten promises to the people of Odisha”, Patra added.
