High Court Directs Congress Not to Observe Odisha Bandh

Cuttack: In a significant development, the Orissa High Court today directed the Congress not to hold Odisha Bandh tomorrow.

The High Court order came in respond to a PIL filed by a businessman from Cuttack.

The court said that bandh is not permissible while the party may organise hartal.

The protestors cannot disrupt vehicular movement, train services, force anyone to support the bandh call, the court added.

Meanwhile, the State Government has urged its employees of Lok Seva Bhawan, Kharavela Bhawan, Rajiv Bhawan and Heads of Department Building to reach respective offices by 9.30 AM tomorrow.

Notably, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee and its frontal organizations have called for six hours Odisha Bandh on 12.11.2021 from 06.00 AM to 12.00 Noon on the issue of murder of school teacher Mamita Meher.
