Bhubaneswar: Odia film producer Akshay Parija on Tuesday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the honeytrap case involving lady blackmailer Archana Nag, Jagabandhu Chand, Khageswar Patra and others.
Earlier, the ED had summoned the film producer to appear before it to record his statements in the case. However, Parija did not appear in person. His lawyer requested the ED to give Parija some more time due to health reasons.
Notably, Parija had filed a complaint against Archana Nag at Nayapalli police station for blackmailing him and demanding Rs 3 crore.
The ED had registered a case against Archana Nag, Jagabandhu Chand, Khageswar Patra, and Shradhanjali Behera on November 2 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
