Bhubaneswar: With the Government of Odisha making it mandatory for all vehicles in the state to have High Security Registration Plates, there have been many doubts and questions in people’s minds regarding how to get a HSRP easily without any hassles. The order has already come into effect from 1st June 2022 and many people have applied for new registration plates. Those who have not done so can do within the given period of time.
All vehicles that were purchased before 1st April 2019 need to go for the new High Security Registration Plates. The State Transport Authority has also given a timeline for various categories of vehicles as given below:

Those who want to register for a new HSRP for their vehicles can do so through online mode. Step by step guide to getting a new High Security Registationplate is given below.
1 – Visit www.siam.in web portal – the apex body representing Indian automobile industry.
2 – Click on Book Your HSRP Link or this Link: https://www.siam.in/hrspsubmit.aspx?mpgid=91&pgidtrail=91
3 – Select your State and District from the Drop Down menu.
4 – Give your details – Name, Email ID, Vehicle Number and Phone Number
5- Tick mark the terms and conditions and click enter
6 – Select Your Vehicle Brand for Booking HSRP
7 – It will take you to the website of the OEM authorised HSRP suppliers.
8 – This will take you to https://makemyhsrp.com/
9 – Again Select the brand of your vehicle
10 – Select your State and District
11 – You will be provided a list of providers according to your choice of place
12 – Again fill all the details of the vehicle
13 – Generate OTP
14 – Go to Payments Page though online payment option
15 – Complete your payment and print your receipt
16 – Go to your choice of provider at the given time and fit your vehicle with the new HSRP.
