Huge Cache Of Maoist Dump Recovered In Koraput

Koraput: A team of District Voluntary Force and Koraput Police led by Superintendent of Police yesterday recovered a huge cache of maoist dump in the Odisha–Andhra border village of Ankadelli. Acting on reliable information from sources, the police team along with the bomb disposal teams reached the spot and recovered five bundles of codex wire, four bundles of detonators, 15 new walkie-talkies and steel container along with several electronic gadgets. It is likely that the maoist materials were hidden by the most wanted Maoist leaders Uday (a central committee member), Aruna (an SZC member) and Suresh (an SZC member) and were meant for targeting the security forces in the Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) area.

Odisha Police launched ‘Operation Khoj’ and ‘Operation Ghar Wapsi’ some time back to completely sanitize and demine the area. Several Maoists also laid down their arms and returned to the mainstream following the launch of ‘Operation Ghar Wapsi’ in the Malkangiri and Koraput districts of Odisha.
