Berhampur: Berhampur Police seized huge quantities of illegal fire crackers from inside a rented house from Lanjipalli area and arrested two persons in this connection.
Based on reliable information, BN.Pur Police team led by ASI Giri Gobardhan Jena conducted raid in a house situated at Shivashakti Nagar, Lanjipalli and detected a huge quantity of illegal stock of Fire Crackers kept inside a rented house.
The police team apprehended two persons – Sachin Panigrahy and Asik Kumar Behera. Both belong to Lanjipalli area.
The police seized 54 big carton box containing fire crackers of different brands. The approximate value of seized firecrackers is approximately Rs 3.5 lakh, said Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M in a press statement.
