I-Day 2022: Odisha CM Gives Away Police Medal to Cops

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik gave away Police Medals and Awards to the police personnel at the State Level Investiture Ceremony at the Lok Seva Bhawan on the occasion of 76th Independence Day.

As many as 9 police personnel have received Police Medal for Gallantry. The cops are
late Jayaram Kabasi- OAPF (Posthumously), Rishikesh Dnyandeo Khilari, IPS, SP, Mayurbhanj; Ramu Durua, OAPF, Malkangiri; Bandhu Hantal, Constable, Malkangiri; Ghenu Hantal, Constable, Malkangiri; Pravin Thapa, Havildar, SOG, Chandaka; Rajesh Biswakarma, Havildar, SOG, Chandaka; Jeevan Sahai, Commando, SOG, Chandaka and Ousadhinath Behera , Commando, SOG, Chandaka.

11 police officers have bagged Police Medal for Meritorious Service. The officers are Sanjay Kumar Kaushal, Inspector General Of Police, Vigilance Directorate, Cuttack; Kamal Lochan Bhuyan, Deputy Superintendent Of Police, D.I.B., Bhadrak; Sujata Khandual, Deputy Superintendent Of Police, Vigilance Directorate, Cuttack; Raghunath Prasad Nayak , Deputy Superintendent Of Police, Special Branch, Cuttack, Arun Kumar Swain, Assistant Commissioner of Police, UPD. Bhubaneswar; Sheikh Kitaullah,. Driver Havildar, Vigilance Directorate, Cuttack; Krutibasa Panda, Assistant Sub Inspector Of Police, Cuttack; Madhusudan Behera, Sub Inspector Of Police, Sambalpur; Pawal Dayal Baa, Deputy Commandant, S.O.G. Bhubaneswar; Ajaya Kumar Mishra, Deputy Superintendent Of Police, Chhatrapur, Ganjam and Maili Mohan, Constable, Berhampur.

Prana Krushna Rout, Additional Deputy Commissioner Of Police, Bhubaneswar and Pradip Kumar Mohanty, Constable, Cuttack have received the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
