New Delhi: The 12th edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup is beginning from today in London. The mega tournament features 10 teams, a decrease from previous World Cups in 2011 and 2015 which featured 14 teams.
The nations participating in the tournament are Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, Iceland, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
A total of 48 games will be played in 46 days at 11 venues with each team required to play other nine teams in the group stages, after which the top four will qualify for the semifinals.
While the final is set for July 14, hosts England will face South Africa in the first match of the tournament today.
