New Delhi: Data from Johns Hopkins University says India has surpassed Spain to become the fifth most infected country in the world by Coronavirus.
While India’s total number of infections by Saturday morning stood at more than 2 lakh 44 thousand, Spain had 2 lakh 40 thousand infections. For the last few days India has been adding more than nine thousand cases daily to the infections tally with Maharashtra leading. India’s recovery rate is about 48.20 percent.
The number of deaths in the country has risen to more than sis thousand six hundred. On Friday last India has surpassed Italy in terms of number of infections. Now, The US, Brazil, Russia and the UK are ahead of India in terms of total number of infections.
