New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a one day national mourning on July 9 as a mark of respect for former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who passed away on Friday after he was shot while addressing an election rally in the city of Nara.
“As a mark of our deepest respect for former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo, a one day national mourning shall be observed on 9 July 2022”, PM Modi said.
