India Today MOTN Polls: Naveen Adjudged India’s Most Trusted Chief Minister

Bhubaneswar: Year after year…decade after decade… and survey after survey…its Naveen Patnaik at the helm as India’s most trusted Chief Minister. The latest recognition to Naveen’s charismatic leadership came from India Today’s Mood of the Nation Polls, wherein he has been adjudged as India’s Most Trusted and popular Chief Minister in his own state. The latest polls which were aired by India Today Thursday evening, place Naveen Patnaik at the top position as the most popular Chief Minister in home state with 78 percent respondents being satisfied with his performance. His Assam counterpart Himant Biswa Sarma stood at the second position with 63 percent and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin took the third position with 61 percent.

What is more noteworthy outcome from the Mood Of The Nation Polls is that Naveen has made his position more stronger when compared to the previous polls wherein he got 71 percent. This reinforces him as the undisputed leader whose popularity is getting more and more with time.

According to India Today polls, people of the state trust him and they believe in him.

Explaining the outcome of the polls, Raj Chengappa, Group Editorial Director, India Today Group says that it’s the good governance of Naveen Patnaik that makes him the most popular. “He does his work quietly and does not shout too much. There is no corruption charges, there is no taint against him personally in any of these years he has ruled. Look at the way he conducts business over there, there is a quite confidence. The people trust him.”

For Rajdeep Sardesai, Naveen defies another aspect of Indian politics. “He has defied every stereotype of today’s politicians. The poll outcome numbers are remarkable after 20 years of Naveen’s rule.”

According to the Mood Of The Nation Polls, in the national perspective, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains the country’s most popular leader with 53 per cent of the countrymen wanting him to be their Prime Minister. Only 9 per cent favour Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for the top post and 7 per cent in favour of AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal.

This is not the first time that the Chief Minister of Odisha has been adjudged as the most loved Chief Minister among people. He has remained at the top in various polls and surveys including that of the India Today, C-Voter, ABP, Times Of India and others. The recent rural election results followed by the Urban Polls in Odisha, reinforce the fact that good governance has no alternative and Naveen is the Numero Uno.

The latest testimony to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s unmatched leadership is the successful management of the Covid-19 Pandemic. When the country’s economy stood standstill, Odisha showed robust strength and continued to grow. It became a savior to millions of Covid infected people during the Pandemic by providing the much needed oxygen supplies. In the last two decades, Naveen has transformed Odisha from one of the backward states to the most promising one. The state that used to be shattered by natural calamities, has today stood as a formidable force against them and become a role model for the world in disaster management. The quiet Chief Minister is the best performer. Naveen remains focused on the development of the State and wellbeing of his four and half crore family members remains his primary priority.
