Bhubaneswar: An Indigo flight from Hyderabad to Guwahati today made an emergency landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar. The Pilot was forced to divert the plane to Bhubaneswar as a passenger of the flight namely Irshad Ali tried to breach flight safety procedures. He also tried to open the door of the aircraft. His unruly behavior forced the pilot to divert the flight to Bhubaneswar midway. The passenger is said to be mentally unstable.
The passenger along with the co-passenger were deboarded at Bhubaneswar and handed over to the police. Later, the police sent Irshad to the Capital Hospital.
According to a clarification from Interglove Aviation ( Indigo), Flight No 6e462 from Hyderabad to Guwahati, diverted to Bhubaneswar and landed at 0610am, due to an UNRULY passenger, named Irshad Ali Aged 20years.The passenger was deboarded and handed over to police. The flight then took off from Bhubaneswar at 0713AM for Guwahati.
