Bhubaneswar: Software giant Infosys today came forward to donate the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the relief and restoration works in the cyclone Fani-affected areas in the State.
Infosys and two of its ally companies, Edgeverve Systems Ltd. and Infosys BPM Pvt. Ltd contributed Rs 85 lakh to the CMRF towards Fani relief.
The Infosys team met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat and handed over the cheque of the said amount.
The employees of Infosys donated Rs 79,00,321, while the employees of Edgeverve Systems Ltd and Infosys BPM Pvt. Ltd. contributed Rs 2,74,486 and Rs 3,17,903 respectively.
Besides, Hindustan Colas Pvt. Ltd. also contributed Rs 25 lakhs towards the CMRF for Fani aid.
The Chief Minister thanked all donors for joining the cause of rebuilding Odisha after the devastating cyclone Fani.
He urged all to join hands to rebuild lives affected by cyclone.
