Kendrapada: At a time when Coronavirus has been found to be more threatening to elderly people with comorbidity condition, getting out of it unharmed is nothing less than a miracle. Yes miracle happens, “If God wants to save you… no one can kill you” this fits perfect to an octogenarian couple, who have beat the Coronavirus.
Surendra Pati, aged about 85 years from Bagada gram panchayat of Kendrapara block, was suffering from tongue cancer. He was admitted at Acharya Harihar Cancer Hospital for radiation therapy and subsequently infected with Coronavirus while undergoing treatment.
Likewise, Surendra’s 78 years old wife, Sabitri, who was taking care of Surendra got herself infected subsequently. As per the protocol, both of them have been admitted to Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack for further treatment of Covid-19.
Since Pati, an octogenarian, could not do day to day work himself, his son accompanied him. In spite of comorbidity condition, Pati, so as his 78 years old wife have beaten the Coronavirus and discharged from COVID care, in Kendrapada.

Expressing happiness over the cure of octogenarian couple, Kendrapara Collector, Samarth Verma said,” It is wonderful to see them recover. The admin will feel motivated to work even harder and it will build faith in common people.”
The couple inspires many to beat the disease.
