International Media Lauds Odisha’s Massive Mission to Supply Medical Oxygen and Save Lives amid COVID Second Wave

Bhubaneswar: Ever since the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic has hit the country and the demand for medical oxygen rose manifolds, Odisha under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik stood as a savior and saved thousands of lives by supplying oxygen to the needy states.

Odisha embarked on a massive mission to dispatch more than 28,000 tonnes of medical oxygen to 17 states in 2 months.

Despite facing challenges, Odisha swung into action to use its industrial base to be part of the mission to save precious lives across India.

The Odisha Government’s mission to save lives by ensuring uninterrupted supply of medical oxygen to the rest of the country at the height of second wave of pandemic has earned praise from global media.

National Geographic India has highlighted Odisha’s successful mission.

In a special report “Fighting the Crisis Together | Mission Oxygen”, National Geographic India highlighted how Odisha took on a massive mission to supply medical oxygen and save lives when India was hit by the second wave of COVID-19.
