New Delhi: Ahead of the Ayodhya temple-mosque title suit today, the internet services have been suspended in Jaipur and Bharatpur in Rajasthan and parts of Uttar Pradesh.
The internet services on mobile networks as well as wired connections have been shut down in Jaipur from 10 am on Saturday till the next order in the wake of the Ayodhya verdict.
Similar steps have been taken in parts of Uttar Pradesh, including Ayodhya, Agra and Aligarh.
These data services are expected to remain suspended till after the verdict, and restoration will be dependent on the law and order situation in what the state government considers as sensitive areas, according to reports.
The decision has been taken to prevent spread of wrong and sensitive messages.
The Supreme Court verdict on the Ram Janma Bhoomi title suit today will be a unanimous one by the five judge bench. The five judge bench consists of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices S A Bobde, D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer.
