Berhampur: The Odisha Government-run Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Berhampur is becoming a placement hub as 260 more students of got campus placement.
Domestic mobile devices firm Lava has recruited the students in the two-long campus placement drive being held in the auditorium of the institute.
A three-member team of the Delhi-based company led by HR Head Aswini Jaiswal conducted the written test followed by an interview.
More than 350 students had participated in the recruitment drive, out of which 260 students were selected.
The students will join the company from September 1 after completion of their exam in the last week of August, informed the authorities of ITI Berhampur.
The offer letters were distributed to the selected students at a function attended by Prof. Prafulla Kumar Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, Khalikote University and District Employment Officer.
Prof. Mohanty has highly appreciated the skill echo system of ITI Berhampur which makes the students placed at the age of just 18. He asked all the students to be positive in life and take fully utilise the skill they have achieved
Aswini Jaiswal, HR Head of Lava said the Berhampur ITI students are sincere and hard working. Lava has been coming to ITI Berhampur for campus recruitment since last 2016.
Dr. Rajat Panigrahy, Principal of ITI Berhampur has congratulated the successful students and thanked Lava management for their confidence and trust on ITI Berhampur students.
Earlier this month, 269 students of ITI Berhampur were recruited by Suzuki Motor Gujarat in the campus placement.
