Berhampur: Adding yet another in its cap, the Odisha Government-run Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Berhampur has been ranked one of the best ITIs in the country.
In the ranking of top 100 ITIs in the country prepared by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the ITI Berhampur has occupied the 12th position.
Besides ITI Berhampur, five other ITIs from Odisha have found place in the list. The ITI Berhampur stood first in the State having all India ranking 12.
Other five government ITIs are ITI Hinjlicut (21), ITI Jajpur (31), ITI Cuttack (35), ITI Jharsuguda (47) and ITI Puri (96).
Expressing his happiness over the achievement, Principal of ITI Berhampur Dr. Rajat Panigrhy said that it is a great moment for the institute.
Notably, the Directorate General of Training (DGT) under the aegis of MSDE has conducted grading of ITIs in phase-II as per “Framework and Methodology” document of Grading of ITIs in phase-II.
The Grades of 12352 ITIs which participated in Grading Phase -II have been finalized after addressing all the Grievances and Appeals of ITIs as per the “Framework and Methodology” document uploaded on DGT website.
