It’s God’s Will That Prevails

The air of uncertainty over holding of Rath Yatra was finally cleared following the Supreme Court order that stayed the event.

It is perhaps the will of the God. For millions of devotees Lord Jagannath is the ‘Jagata ra Natha’ which means Supreme Lord of the Universe and Saviour of the mankind. Nothing takes place or happens without the will of the God, not even a single leaf moves without His will. It is the strong belief of the devotees across the world that It’s He (Lord Jagannath) who runs the Universe.

Whatever He does, it is for the betterment of the people and not holding Rath Yatra might also be His will and for the welfare of the society and wellbeing of the devotees with a greater cause.

Can Lord, who is the saviour of the Universe, put its devotees and people at risk ? People have sacrificed their lives and livelihoods during the pandemic. The sacrifice of the people in the last three months should not go waste. The Lord will definitely not want his peoples’ sacrifice to go in vein.

Every year the deities come out of the temple for their devotees, and the lord might not be happy without devotees and the Rath Yatra might have lost its significance without devotees. It’s God’s will indeed.

It is not for the first time that the Rath Yatra is being stayed, in the past 425 years, the festival could not be held for 32 times due to various reasons.

The State Government, Sri Jagannath Temple Administration, the Servitors and the millions of devotees must read into the realities of the situation and respect God’s will.
