Jagannatha Temple to Reopen for Devotees from Tomorrow, SJTA Issues SOP

Puri: The Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration (SJTA) has issued the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the reopening of the Srimandir for devotees from tomorrow.

As per the SOP, the devotees will be allowed to have darshan of Lord Jagannatha from 6 AM to 9 PM on all days except Sundays from February 1, 2022.

The temple will remain closed for public darshan on Sundays for sanitization.

The devotees entering the shrine need to produce their photo ID Card (Aadhaar/Voter ID or any other photo ID card for identification) and final certificate for Covid19 vaccination or Covid-19 negative RTPCR certificate of testing done within 96 hours prior to their visit to the temple.

The directive will remain valid till February 17, 2022.

Mask wearing will be mandatory for devotees at all times both inside and outside the temple, the SOP stated.
