Bhubaneswar: Jharsuguda on Friday experienced the hottest day of the season.
As per the Meteorological Centre Bhubaneswar, Jharsuguda has recorded the maximum day temperature of 45.6 degree Celsius. It is the highest day temperature of the season in Jharsuguda.
Apart from Jharsuguda, Sambalpur (45.2°C), Sonepur (44.8°C), Boudh (44.6°C) and Bolangir (44°C) are the other hottest places in the State on Friday, informed the metrological centre.
Many places in the State also saw a rise in temperature on the day.
