New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Girish Chandra Murmu has resigned. His resignation has also been accepted by the President of India.
The President has appointed Manoj Sinha as the new Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
A release from the office of the President said, “The President has accepted the resignation of Shri Girish Chandra Murmu as Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.”
The release further stated that the President has been pleased to appoint Shri Manoj Sinha, to be the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office vice Girish Chandra Murmu.”
